All GAT-KU polespears are threaded in the middle for easy assembly and travel.
A 6-footer can break down and fit in a 3-foot long tube. Your polespear will come
with a custom made band.
Machined to perfection.. . . ..
This state of the art design includes anodized aircraft aluminum attached to
a carbon fiber front end. This hybrid combination gives divers a weapon as beefy
as it needs to be without the resistance that most heavy-duty shafts have in
the water. The low-profile carbon fiber stock allows the diver to swing the
shaft around with ease. This means better mobility while stalking fish.
One common problem with other polespears arise when a heavier fish is working
the end of the shaft. A front end will usually bend or break when carrying a
big enough fish. The carbon -fiber adds just enough flexibility to eliminate
this problem. All the beating is absorbed by the flexibility of the front end
of the polespear, making it virtually indestructible.
The Gat-Ku Pole Spear does not come with a tip but gives you the option
of three different tips sold seperately.
Paralyzer Head – $45.00
On the front end, you will be landing more fish with a ‘spring-grab’ tri-tip
paralyzer made of heat-treated stainless, built to withstand impact on the rocky
reefs. Instead of waiting for those prongs to rust, as the Hawaiians do, they
have been pre-textured to insure a landing on those more aggressive fish. Prongs
are also flared out at the ends to help with keeping the fish on your shaft.
Flopper Head – $55.00
The GAT-KU flopper tip delivers a sharp punch. This 5/16” shaft is made
from 17-4 hardened stainless. Thread type is 3/8-24.
Slip-Tip Head – $65.00
GAT-KU has innovated the polespear slip-tip to perfection! Changing the angle
of the hole in the tip allows the toggle line to bend back without the high-profile
extrusion. We also counter-sink the hole so the knot fits snuggly inside the
tip with little exposure. The tip is made from 5/16" hardened stainless
that rides on a 3/16" shaft. The Dynema slip line is embedded into the
stainless tip. The result is a sleek design that leaves the smallest hole possible
in your fish. Thread Thread type is 3/8—24.
